Embracing Innovation, Sustainability, Intelligence and Globalization

On September 19th, 2026, the Main Forum of the 2026 Concrete & Cement-based Products Industry Convention was held at the Canton Fair Hall in Guangzhou. Convened under the theme “Embracing Innovation, Sustainability, Intelligence and Globalization,” the Convention drew representatives from across the full value chain of China’s concrete and cement-based products industry, related service sectors, and major end-user enterprises.

The year 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the China Concrete & Cement-based Products Association (CCPA), coinciding with the close of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the opening of the 15th. At this milestone, the industry’s technology and equipment rank among the world’s most advanced, while its green, low-carbon, digital, and intelligent transformation continues to accelerate. The Convention is both a tribute to four decades of endeavor and a launching point for the next forty years — setting direction for the industry, empowering enterprises, and building bridges across the sector.

The Convention is hosted by CCPA, with support from China West Construction Group Co., Ltd., Jianhua Group Holdings Co., Ltd., Wuhan University of Technology, SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Beijing Guolei Law Firm, and Qingdao Hicorp Group Co., Ltd.

Zhang Yan, Rotating President, CCPA

In his opening address, CCPA Rotating President Zhang Yan noted that this year marks a pivotal moment as the 14th Five-Year Plan concludes and the 15th begins. The industry has grown steadily stronger through scale expansion, yet now faces adjustment pressures as traditional markets slow and growth drivers shift, while national strategies such as urban renewal, major project construction, and the Belt and Road Initiative open new opportunities. Marking the Association’s 40th anniversary, he observed that CCPA has grown alongside the industry and witnessed its progression from scale expansion to quality improvement — a journey sustained by the support of its members, to whom he extended sincere thanks.

Zhang Yan noted that the theme of this year’s Convention and Expo both captures the industry’s direction and expresses its commitment to high-quality development in a new era. Pursuing innovation means developing new materials and processes through technological advance and cultivating new quality productive forces. Pursuing sustainability means implementing the dual carbon goals and advancing solid-waste resource utilization and low-carbon transformation across the value chain. Pursuing intelligence means applying AI, digital twins, and related technologies to break down data barriers and upgrade intelligent manufacturing. Pursuing globalization means leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative to take Chinese technologies, equipment, and standards abroad and deepen international cooperation. He urged industry colleagues to hold steady amid cyclical adjustment, recognize and respond to change, and move forward together.
