Shandong Power Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd., PowerChina (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), established in 1958 and affiliated to STECOL CORPORATION, a Fortune 500 company, is a comprehensive state-owned enterprise primarily specialized in producing precast concrete components and undertaking municipal water conservancy projects. It is mainly engaged in general contracting of municipal projects, design, manufacturing, construction, and installation of electric power, water conservancy, water pipes, and production and management of projects concerning subway segments, subway sleepers, prestressed pipe piles, prefabricated bridge units, integrated utility tunnels, concrete poles, standard distribution-type transformer substation structures and plastic pipes.

The company is one of the main drafters of the National Standards for Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipes (PCCP) and Concrete Poles and serves as vice-chairman of the China Concrete & Cement Products Industry Association, director unit of the Pressure Pipe Work Department, standing director unit of Shandong Provincial Building Materials Industry Association, chairman unit of Pole Tower Branch of Shandong Provincial Building Materials Industry Association, and vice-chairman unit of Green Low-Carbon Application Branch of China Building Materials Industry Economic Research Association. It is also a national training base for skilled professionals in cement concrete products (Shandong Station), an “Integrated Base for Industry, Education, Research, and Application” of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, a practical teaching base of Jinan University, and the only domestic supplier of the design, manufacturing, and technical services of PCCP pipes used for water diversion and circulating in the field of nuclear power construction.

The company was the first to introduce the world-advanced PCCP pipe-manufacturing technology and key facilities from the United States in 1998. After that, it took the lead in obtaining the production license for DN600-DN4000 PCCP product seriation and the qualification for independent third-party laboratory. It is able to provide integrated services including product design, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and installation according to the owner's needs. The company ranks among the first ones in China to pass the integrated QEHS management system certification.

It has provided design, manufacturing, construction, and technical services for over 300 electric power, water conservancy, municipal, chemical, and nuclear power projects across more than 30 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China, with its products exported to countries and regions such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Mauritius. All projects have operated safely and reliably, winning the company widespread praise from all sectors of society.

The company produces various ordinary reinforced and prestressed reinforced concrete poles for substations and transmission lines at 220KV and below, with an annual output reaching 150,000 pieces (segments). It has cumulatively produced 4 million poles (segments), successfully applied in engineering projects across more than 29 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China, and exported to international markets such as Malaysia and Angola. Since entering the subway segment market in 2014, it has successively supplied nearly 70,000 qualified segments for Wuhan Metro and Harbin Metro, and as a participator in the construction of Xiong'an, produced nearly More than 2600 pieces large and medium-sized prefabricated T beams for the Hebei-Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway Project.
