Xiamen International Expo Center (also known as Xiamen New International Conference & Exhibition Center) is a strategic project for the high-quality development of Xiamen's convention and exhibition industry and Xiamen's inter-island development. It is invested, constructed, operated and managed by Xiamen ITG MICE Group Co., Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiamen ITG Holding Group, the member of Fortune 500 Company, on behalf of construction by Xiamen ITG Real Estate Co., Ltd.

Xiamen International Expo Center is located in Sports Exhibition New Town Area, Xiang'an District, the project has a total land area of 846,700 square meters, a total construction area of 1,159,200 square meters, and an exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, which is a new landmark and a new platform for Xiamen's convention and exhibition. The addition of the new airport and Xiamen East Railway Station will make this a gateway hub to Xiamen for the whole country and the world.

Xiamen International Expo Center adopts the layout mode of "fishbone + courtyard", the building is arranged along the central skeleton with east and west entrance halls, exhibition center, conference center, convention hotel group, National Expo Business Center and 21,000 square meters of coastal commercial center. It is a domestic leading and international first-class intelligent composite exhibition complex, integrating of exhibition, conference, hotel, leisure and other multi-functional, which is the largest professional exhibition and conference center in Fujian Province at present.

On October 25, the second phase of Xiamen International Expo Center - Exhibition Center successfully passed the joint inspection and acceptance, marking that the exhibition center Hall 5 to 11, supporting house1 and 2, the East Entrance Hall and the relevant outdoor areas were completed. So far, all 11 exhibition halls, East Entrance Hall, West Entrance Hall, central corridor, basement and other important parts of the Xiamen International Expo Center have completed the joint inspection and acceptance, which means that about 300,000 square meters of "Xiamen's new landmark" will soon be fully operational.

Xiamen International Expo Center project is a large public building composed of a variety of building types. The structure has a number of irregular characteristics such as torsion irregularity, floor discontinuity, local irregularity, etc., and it is an excessive large public building with a particularly complex shape of the roof.

The project is adjacent to the sea and belongs to the marine monsoon climate zone, with high temperature, high humidity and frequent typhoons and rainstorms in summer, which makes it a great challenge for the performance of curtain wall materials in addition to high structural design requirements. The project adheres to the concept of green and low-carbon, after deepening the design and expert proof in the preliminary stage, the ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) curtain wall system with excellent mechanical properties, strong durability and corrosion resistance, wind load resistance and seismicity takes up a clear advantage. The total amount of UHPC curtain wall applied in the project reaches 140,000 square meters, which is the largest in the country and even in the world.

Sobute New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sobute") provided all the premixed materials of the UHPC curtain wall panels for this project's section Ⅱ, and the production was completed by Jiangsu Transbuild Construction Tech Co., Ltd. UHPC decorative panels for the exterior wall of Xiamen International Expo Center have high requirements for mechanical properties and dimensional stability, superimposed on the requirements of small surface color differences, large quantities of work, winter construction, etc. In order to meet the above requirements, the project team formulated an all-round technical and production program to secure supply according to the demand, realizing highly efficient production with 24-hour demolding in low winter temperatures. The project team was able to ensure the supply of more than 4,300 tons of premix for 5 months and provide an effective guarantee for the project schedule.

Combination of panels and aluminum frames to form a curtain wall unit

The combination of UHPC and aluminum frame can achieve the effect of precise installation, rigorous layout, reasonable slitting, clear corners and uniform color. At the same time, the installation team of the project independently researches and develops a three-dimensional adjustable assembled UHPC curtain wall unit system and installation method, which effectively improves the qualification rate of the flatness of the panel and the overall quality level, and it also obtains national patent.
