Recently, Suzhou Concrete and Cement Products Research Institute Co., Ltd. adopted ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) technology to produce wind power towers, which were successfully applied in the "Fengling New Energy 180 meter Wind Turbine Lianshui Jushi Wind Power Project", marking the world's first UHPC150 wind power hybrid tower entering engineering application.

Recently, Suzhou Concrete and Cement Products Research Institute Co., Ltd. adopted ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) technology to produce wind power towers, which were successfully applied in the "Fengling New Energy 180 meter Wind Turbine Lianshui Jushi Wind Power Project", marking the world's first UHPC150 wind power hybrid tower entering engineering application.

Compared to traditional concrete materials, UHPC materials have higher strength, toughness, and durability. UHPC can significantly improve the stability and safety of wind power towers. Based on a 180 meter vertical load-bearing structure, the design of the mixed tower proposed a C150 and other ultra-high comprehensive performance indicators for UHPC. Suzhou Concrete and Cement Products Research Institute Co., Ltd, which has rich scientific research resources and product development experience, has undertaken the production and supply of UHPC for the concrete tower pipe segments.

In addition, a series of innovative research and development work has been carried out in the same time, such as:

  • Using local materials,

  • Utilizing of solid waste,

  • Reducing the production cost of UHPC,

  • Optimizing the on-site concrete mixing production process,

  • Transforming and upgrading traditional production equipment,

  • Innovating UHPC production pouring process,

  • Improve the quality control system,

  • Promoting the standardization of UHPC pipe segments for wind power hybrid towers.


The application of UHPC research results in the production of wind power mixed tower segments has expanded new fields in the cement product industry, and has long-term significance for achieving the dual carbon goal in the building materials and new energy industries.
