On September 5th, a roller compacted concrete core sample with a length of 26.5 meters and a diameter of 250 millimeters was successfully extracted from the Yunnan TB hydropower station dam constructed by Power China Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 Co.,Ltd, setting a new world record.

This core sample was taken from Dam Section 15. On-site observation, the surface of the core sample is smooth and dense, the aggregate distribution is uniform, the structure is dense without gaps, and the interlayer bonding is excellent. It is a rare high-quality roller compacted concrete core sample in China, marking that the construction quality and technology of the dam have reached an industry-leading level.

In the construction of TB hydropower station, the team of the Power China Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 fully utilizes six major systems: intelligent rolling, intelligent temperature control, intelligent grouting, intelligent materials, intelligent mixing, and universal application. It realizes real-time monitoring of the entire process of concrete warehousing, rolling, and maintenance, effectively ensuring the quality of dam concrete construction. And multiple records in roller compacted concrete construction have created, these are "maximum pouring height of 18 meters", "maximum daily pouring output of 11800 cubic meters", and "maximum monthly pouring volume of 230000 cubic meters".
